Personally, I like to stop by my local historical society & talk to the wise ones. They have a LOT of knowledge & desire to pass it down. It is not necessary to make an appointment- just pop in. My Story. Over the years our family has delighted in quite a few research initiatives- each teaching us more about our Roots. Once we studied the landscape of our farm & learned we have 2 creeks with water flowing in different directions. Another project taught us about our heritage, complete with DNA tests. A recent project taught us about the history of our 80 acre farm. It was settled by homesteader- John Farrell and Irishman. I appreciate the way my family story interlocks with the American story. @CoolStuff
