In preparation for 14 Days of Love we stock up on a few things. We are about to marinade our family big love. This Tradition of Affection is intended to be inexpensive and can be free. Do not get caught up in a mindset of buying-your-love style gestures. 14DaysOfLove is more about the intentional personal touch of a Loving Parent, Spouse, Child.
Prepare in January. That is when the hunt begins for cute, cheap supplies. I bought my starter 14DaysOfLove book in Target's dollar store section. It was a plain white 'do it yourself' book. To the white pages I added stickers, stamping, fabric & love notes. Over time the book began to look better & better.
- The dollar store is good for picking up hearts for everyone's door knob, little doilies for daily truth praise notes & plaques.
- Target and Walmart have cutsie stickers, cards, decorations in their $1 section. The basic white book came from Target's dollar section.
- Go online and print-off romantic valentines for your Man, theme verses for everyday, recipes, craft ideas.

- an extra bunch of bananas & oranges for writing love notes on!
- strawberries
- cherry tomatoes
- red & green apples
- watermelon
- pineapple
- carrots

January 31, I GET TO decorate my home for 14 Days of Love.
Personally I like to do this after my husband goes to bed. It's time to spruce up decorations with LOVE and RED messages of affection everywhere. Go ahead and be boldly loving.
Here are a few things I like to do:
yes- the shower curtain I hang IS the periodic table of elements. I think this is for me! Tree is very nerdie!
- decorate my kitchen extra special for these 2 weeks.
- hang signs on my mantle, bedroom doors, windows, bathroom mirrors
- I even like to hang a different shower curtain in the bathroom just for fun.
- add LOVE messages to my winter decorations outside the home
- decorate my bedroom with "cupid's couple" & "Me & You" & "You Are My Beloved" signs
Add a POP of red FUN.... everywhere!
