ONLY 14 Days a Year!!  WE make it EASY to pour out BIG LOVE on our most treasured family & friends!  The first 14 days in February are perfect to focus on SERVING and TAKING ACTION to demonstrate the affection that is in our hearts every single day.  It is FUN and makes a big impact.

I agree LOVE ACTIONS feel a bit awkward at first. Our society isn't affectionate.  Still- After a short time- even our 14, 16, 21 year old kids look forward to this Tradition of Affection!   No one is objecting to the small loving gestures, like making heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast or heart-shaped sandwiches for school lunches or tattoos for friends at lunch or love notes with authentic, truthful words.
Dr. Kory Floyd, PhD says, 
"Being affectionate is good for you, Affection can be a simple, non-pharmaceutical, cheap way to REDUCE STRESS."  

My Personal Experience. in 2017 I did 14 Days of Love for the first time and it felt foreign & strange, but truly healthy.  Awkward turned to excitement to put messages of honesty & love 'on their tape' of my kids hearts.  The result of extending affection was a fun, life-giving event for everyone.  More smiles all around.  That first year coming right out and voicing my deepest feelings was 'uber cheesy' and truly meaningful for me.  Actually saying the words 
  • "I love you man" or 
  • "I like the way you treat people with dignity & warmth" or 
  • "I like the way you help people widen their perspective" or 
  • "I see you are trying hard to pickup that skill- good focus" or 
  • "I respect you" or 
  • "I'm excited to do life with you" or 
  • "I see God at work in you" or 
  • "I see how hard you're trying at school- keep believing in yourself" or 
  • "I believe in you", etc...   
Communicating these feelings out loud was revolutionary.  I felt like it should have always been this way.

 Oh YES- My 3 teenagers LIKE to hear they matter & I am proud of who they are becoming & how hard they are trying to 'get it right' & use their talents to search for meaning & maintain strength in their faith over time and under pressure.  My husband used to LOVE to hear he is HOT & a good provider for our family & he is my rock & he is respected & I like him just the way he is.  But he says it is too cheesy now.   God is not done with me yet- I have learned that Giving encouragement inspires the Me too!  I've learned to listen to how each person in my family likes to receive affection.  I'm still learning... and learning that generosity is meaningful itself.  

Today we have goals to make this a robust family ministry.  I am authoring a coffee table book that can be pulled out every year!!  

 There are no limits to the ideas that can be worked into this tradition.  
  • Love is Feeding the Homeless:  that's the crux of SOUPER Bowl Sunday
  • Love is Self-Love 
  • Love is Treats @ School -invite friends over to bake treats for the lunch table! 
  • Love is Laughter -make a laughter date..... bowling makes me laugh
  • Love is Men Praying -have the men over to pray for kids and wives

The vertical and horizontal refer as to if the axis parallel to Bath Sheet Set the spindle (typically “Z”) is vertical or horizontal. One of the important capabilities of machining centers is their use of an Automatic Tool Changer , which lets them handle and routinely swap between a number of} instruments.
