Day 2: Love for Adventure!

Love For Adventure! is all about infusing simple traditions into our routine.   My daughter enjoys the traditions of 14 Days of Love.  So today.... luckily.... we have a little tradition that comes pre-baked with adventure.  GROUNDHOG DAY.   This is a sunrise adventure before school.  Getting in the car in the dark when it's cold.  We head over to the Woodstock Square @ 6:15am, bundled up in our snow gear.  Find parking & get hot coco @ the corner coffee shop to watch the Ground Hog Ceremony with Woodstock Willie, official in top hat and polka band!

The movie "Ground Hog Day" was filmed in Woodstock, IL in the Woodstock Square.   They have a nice lineup of activities every year: 

• 6:15am coffee in the Square
• 7:00  the reveal.... will Woodstock Willie see his shadow?
• 7:30  breakfast @ the Lodge (live polka band, local talent)
• 9:00  free movie showing of the "Ground Hog Day" movie.  The theater we watch it in is in the movie.  
• @ some point there is a walking film tour 
• Drink to World Peace ...and lunch at the courthouse

This is cozy, small town special.   Mark off the morning and make this memory & you will be glad you did!!!
