These are economical & fun to make. I typically try to make 6+ of these treasures and share them with our Grandparents.
Materials:
- 6-8 pine cones (I use my cinnamon scented pine cones from Christmas... as they have no scent left)
- peanut butter
- bird seed
- cookie sheet with edges
- twine
Let's get to work:
- Pour bird seed into the cookie sheet to contain the mess
- Tie to twine around the pine cone so it can be hung up easily
- Coat push peanut butter into the pine cone- make it thick.
- Roll the pine cone in birdseed
- Tie the pine cone securely in tree or bush near a branch.
- Enjoy God's Creation as they feast on your nutritious treat!
On a personal note: In 2017 I made 6 bird feeders & they were gone in 1 week! This #LoveAction is perfect timing to help our feathered friends- the chickadees just came back. How adorable~ I had a little flock of black & white chickadees around the house. Beautiful birds. I wish I had more bird feeders. My target is changing to 10-15 feeders. These birdies need this nutrition.
Joke of the Day:
What did one magnet say to the other magnet on Valentine’s Day?
“I find you very attractive!”
