Day 8: Long Distance Hugs

Long Distance Hugs are a way to share a personal hug with loved ones far away!  This fun, everyone-included, craft is made today & mailed tomorrow....just in time.  Loved ones will receive this gift for Valentines Day!

  1. Apply paint the palm of your hands & stamp out both hand prints onto a colorful  piece of paper
  2. Cut around the dried hand print
  3. Hold the end of a string with one hand and stretch the other hand outward.  Cut the string the length of hand to hand.
  4. Hole punch the wrists of the cut-out hands & fasten reinforcers
  5. Thread the string through the hands.
  6. Write Love notes on the palm of the hands or add love notes
Your long distance hug is ready to be mailed.

Even my teenage sons will do this for Grandpa (who loves it)!

Go deeper in your commitment to stay connected even over longer distances.  -Send a letter through 'snail' mail.   Initiate conversation with far away loved ones.  Encourage them to write back!

Joke of the Day:
Who’s there?
Pooch
Pooch who?
Pooch your arms around me!
